Cosmic Apple Gardens supplies our high mountain community with yummy organic veggies and natural meats—all grown with gravity-fed snowmelt from the Tetons. They also provided the inspiration for Kate to go organic with her bars (little know fact: she was once their work-share manager). We will always consider Cosmic a part of our roots, as they continue to fire Kate’s mission to promote and grow local organic farming.

We all know Kate’s bars and coffee go hand in hand. That’s why we put Doma Coffee, and their mindful owners Terry and Rebecca Patano, at the top our list. The Patanos have been industry friends for years. Not only do they roast great coffee, but they also buy direct from the farmers who grow the beans. Everything they do is purposeful! Coffee. Meaning. Culture. Doma.

The Freedom Riders were the first organization Kate supported with her bars and nugs. We consider them part of our core. Since the group’s inception, Kate saw her friends grow it from just a few riders into a blossoming community. Today, the Freedom Riders continue to create and maintain kick-ass bike trails in the Tetons. Additionally, they advocate for sustainability, safety, and education surrounding mountain biking.

Trails and pathways connect communities and provide opportunity for outdoor recreation. So if that means more bikes, feet, and skis on the trails, then we’re all in! Kate fuels TVTAP supporters with bar kick-downs at their events and trail days. After all, promoting outdoor play is our calling.

Organic matters. Why? Because it enhances the lives of people and supports our environment. As a member of the Organic Trade Association, Kate’s teams up with like-minded businesses to protect organic trade practices. The result of these efforts benefits farmers, local economies, and the environment. No secret here—we just call it “common sense.”

The Idaho State Department of Agriculture provides many educational regulatory services to safeguard both agriculture and consumers. An accredited certifying agent of the USDA’s National Organic Program, they annually certify all of Kate’s bars as organic. We are thrilled to be using a local Idaho agency.

Kate’s bars are certified kosher! Kosher is a Hebrew word that literally means “fit” or “proper.” Kosher laws are stringent and follow the Jewish belief on how foods are gathered, packaged, prepared and, more importantly, killed. To us, this equates to practices that are true, good, and honest. Kosher symbolizes quality ingredients you can trust.
