Tommy Manning

COMPETITIVE DISTANCE RUNNER

Tommy is a teacher in Colorado Springs, CO. When not teaching, he is probably running up and down mountains in the Colorado backcountry. A competitive distance runner preferring dirt over roads, Tommy started running in high school. A motorcycle accident at age 17 resulted in three knee surgeries and took away a few years of running. After college, he spent more and more time running mountains and has competed in races all over North America and Europe. Tommy eventually earned his way onto the US Mountain Running Team in 2010 and has represented the United States in international competitions in seven different countries, including winning the 2013 Masters World Mountain Running Championships held in the Czech Republic.
