Vasu Sojitra

ADAPTIVE ALPINE AND BACKCOUNTRY SKIER

Vasu was diagnosed with septicemia when he was nine-months-old, resulting in the amputation of one of his legs. Since then, Vasu has not looked back. With the help of family and friends, Vasu built the confidence to face challenges with grace, courage, strength, humor, and unwavering determination. Growing up in India, Vasu also witnessed extreme poverty. He views both these experiences as a blessing. They’ve allowed him to hone in his ability to empathize with others. He helps others facing mental and physical limitations overcome their challenges too. Vasu inspires people by pushing his limits, putting others first, and encouraging people to believe in themselves and their abilities!
