As any promoter can attest, a lot of goes into a race. The behind-the-scenes action can be nuts, scary and awesome all at the same time. With Kate’s Bars onsite, I admittedly take time out for staff sustenance. Long before race day, our team has been hard at work setting up, coordinating staff, volunteering time and ditching our day jobs and families to get the work done.
You see – before you hit the course, we’ve been waking up daily at 5 a.m. making the site look good. When you’re awaiting awards and celebrating, we’re taking down and packing up the event. And while you’re chillin’ on your couch with your feet up, we’re moving trailers, dusting off and catching a late-night shower (maybe the first in several days). And if we forget to eat, we have back up. The availability of Kate’s Bars deter us from eating junk food, an easy substitute.
Lastly, Kate’s Bars have made their way into my personal life. My wife, pregnant with a little rider of our own, uses the bars to help satiate her cravings. So for all you athletes, race promoters and expecting parents, Kate’s Bars are highly recommended!
