Well, here we are in the middle of April already and spring has most definitely sprung, at least in Colorado. Leaves and flowers are beginning to show and the snowboard has been put away for the season. It was a great winter for me and I hope for you as well!
Tammy D.’s current happenings:
I coached for the 10th year in a row at Ray’s Women’s Weekend in Cleveland OH this past February. Over 200 females on bikes took over Ray’s Indoor Bike Park for a day to learn new skills, brush the winter cobwebs off and have some fun riding with other ladies from around the country.
I’ve been officially brought on as a SRAM Ambassador for 2017! With a new women’s program you’ll be seeing more of a presence from SRAM this year and I look forward to helping them gain awareness and get more girls shredding on their bikes with confidence and control!
As in previous years I will be guest coaching for various women’s camps including Ladies AllRide and VIDA MTB. I have also been invited back to Switzerland as one of the two US females to participate in the International Women’s Summit. Although my day job managing IMBA’s Instructor Certification Program doesn’t actually involve coaching (I get a lot of screen time and steer the ship best I can) I feel it’s very important and beneficial to stay involved at the grass roots level as instruction and other event aspects evolve, plus I need to keep my own personal instructor skills tuned! Helping to create this part of the industry, then watching it grow over the past 8-10 years has been so cool!
