Rachel, our marketing guru, checked in this morning with a quick race report from the Firecracker 50 in Breckenridge yesterday
Happy 4th of July! Hope everyone had a great holiday and got after it.
Quick Firecracker 50 recap from Breckenridge: Race went off well; cool and overcast most of the day with a few sprinkles in the afternoon. The course (if you’re unfamiliar with it) is challenging no matter what category you’re racing in with 5400′ of climbing per 25 mile lap, most above 10000′ in elevation. That said, the trails were in phenomenal shape (although a bit dusty), especially with the finishing touches put on the new V3 trail climb towards the end of the race that was just completed last week.
I got a chance to touch base with Team Bandwagon who had two racers competing: Stephanie Jones who came home with 7th and Jason Hanson who took 11th. Both were happy with their performance and in good spirits post race. I’m sure the free Backcountry Brewery beer on site didn’t hurt either.
Congratulations to Stephanie and Jason!
