This March, We Helped Fuel Something Special in New York City.
For twelve years running, students and staff at Stuyvesant High School in Lower Manhattan have laced up after school and headed out along the Hudson River greenway for the International Women's Day Run.
It's not a race. It's a community run and walk celebrating the achievements of women — past, present, and future — while raising awareness for the issues that still need attention. Everyone is welcome. The goal is showing up, moving together, and being part of something bigger than a finish line.
This year, Kate's Real Food was proud to be a sponsor.

Why This Event Matters to Us

We make bars for people who move. But moving isn't just about trails and summits — it's about communities coming together, young people finding their stride, and showing up for causes that matter.
The Stuyvesant IWD Run brings together hundreds of students and staff across three afternoons every March. They run. They walk. They talk. They fuel up. And they do it all in the name of celebrating women and closing the gaps that still exist.
That's the kind of event we want our bars at. Not because it's a marketing opportunity — but because it's exactly the kind of thing we believe in.
Fueling the Next Generation

There's something worth noting about this event. It's organized by high school students. Every year, a new group of Stuyvesant students takes it on — planning the route, coordinating sponsors, building community around a cause they care about.
When we got the opportunity to put our bars into the hands of young runners along the Hudson, we didn't think twice. These are the people who are going to shape what comes next. Fueling their run felt like exactly where we should be.
